Am I the Therapist for You?

"A good therapist is like a blender in reverse. You give them a smoothie, and they give you back the fruit."

Feeling connected to your therapist is so important. Ideally, you feel like you can relax in sessions, while also being challenged to grow in a way that suits you.

A little about me: I'm a creative, intuitive and adventurous millennial. I like to work hard and play like a kid, because life is short!

In my free time I enjoy exploring new cities, attending wellness events, photography and writing.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2011 and my Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling in 2015 from Central Connecticut State University. I became a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in 2017.

I started my career as an advocate, volunteer, mentor and peer support specialist.

After I completed graduate school, I went on to work as a clinical case manager in group homes, and an intensive outpatient clinician and supervisor in substance abuse clinics.

In 2021 I transitioned into coaching, couples counseling and specializing in relationship trauma work.

I've found that my experience facilitating group therapy has influenced me so much as a therapist, that I see each session as a curated experience.

Each appointment that I have is a unique opportunity to promote a healing experience.

My goal is to attune to each person I meet with as swiftly and gently as possible, so as to provide as much helpfulness and value as possible.

I take holding space seriously. The therapy container we create together will be firm, yet flexible.

I am *very* neurodiversity friendly and I will pretty much memorize every word you say (even if you go off on tangents).

So no worries, I follow what you are saying. And yes it does make sense.

I'm paying attention.
