My Lived Recovery Experience
Having a knowledgeable therapist is key.
But it's like sprinkles on the cake when your therapist *gets it*

​I share pieces of my recovery, so that you know you are not alone and healing is possible.
Here are some things I've overcome.
​​​
*I was bullied when I was a teenager (it was brutal).​
*I developed pre-diabetes, then reversed it before I turned 20.
*I failed out of college, lived in my car, then got into graduate school.
​
*I lost over 100 pounds on my own and never gained all my weight back, even though my professor told me statistically I would.
​
*I've overcome episodes of depression, severe anxiety and an eating disorder all while getting my undergraduate degree.
​
*I am over 6 years alcohol free.
*I am over 11 years cigarette free.
